Conor Murray set for Munster return against Toulouse

Conor Murray looks set to make his return from injury for Munster in Sunday's Heineken Champions Cup opener against Toulouse at Thomond Park (live on RTÉ 2 and RTÉ Player).The scrum-half has been sidelined with a groin injury since early November, suffering the knock in the first half of Ireland's 19-16 win against South Africa on 5 November.Murray returned to team training this week and looks set to contest the No 9 shirt with Craig Casey, who has covered for him both provincially and internationally in recent weeks.Mike Haley is also on track to be fit.

The full-back missed the recent BKT United Rugby Championship win against Edinburgh having suffered a head injury in the win against Connacht on 26 November, but he is expected to complete the return to play protocols in the coming days."Once you create that possibility of running over, through or around teams, the defence has to adapt and that's when the cracks appear."
