Chelsea: £160k-a-week star 'will thrive under Potter' at Stamford Bridge

Chelsea signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang is going to thrive under Graham Potter, believes journalist Simon Phillips. While the 33-year-old may be disappointed with how swiftly his reunion with former manager Thomas Tuchel ended, Phillips is still expecting him to have a good time at Stamford Bridge.

Aubameyang joined Chelsea at the end of the summer transfer window, linking up with his ex-Borussia Dortmund boss again. However, since then, Tuchel has been dismissed, a development that may have worried the £160,000-a-week striker.

According to The Telegraph, though, Aubameyang has been reassured by Chelsea owners Todd Boehly and Behdad Eghbali that Tuchel’s sacking will not impact his role in the squad.

The same outlet states that he was a club signing, as well as the German’s, which should ease any fears about not being wanted at Stamford Bridge.
