Boss Kevin Hake thinks Chatham Town’s Isthmian Premier derby at Folkestone tonight will be a good test of how far they have progressed.
Both clubs enjoyed winning starts to the campaign at the weekend. There’s unlikely to be many surprises when the teams meet at Cheriton Road (7.45pm kick-off) with Andy Drury, who had helped Chats win Isthmian South East last season, having taken up a player-coach role with Invicta this summer.
Chatham captain Jack Evans also has enjoyed a spell at Folkestone previously while Invicta joint-head coach Roland Edge was born in Chatham and played more than 100 times for neighbours Gillingham.
Speaking after Saturday’s 1-0 home win over Bognor Regis, Hake said: “It’s a tough one. “We know a lot about them, they probably know a lot about us. “We’ve, obviously, had them scouted.
