Chatham Town boss Kevin Hake has praised the “unrivalled support” his team are getting as they battle on multiple fronts for silverware.

While the Chats are in the Isthmian League South East promotion hunt they are also now through to the Semi-Finals of the Kent Senior Cup and have a Velocity Cup Semi-Final match at Isthmian Premier Division title-chasing Aveley on Monday night.

Another four-figure crowd was at the Bauvill Stadium last Saturday as Chats were held to a 1-1 draw by Sittingbourne - the third time they have topped a gate of 1,000 for a league match in their last four fixtures.

Hake said: “Saturday’s crowd of 1,050 was amazing considering that both Gillingham and Maidstone were also at home. “We are unrivalled in this league for our support and it really does make a difference, especially when things don’t always go right on the pitch. “Our form of late has been indifferent but with 10 games to go we find ourselves in a great position still challenging on three fronts. “The boys are really determined to do all they can to bring some trophies home as we approach the business end of the season.” Joe Ellul scored for Sittingbourne on Saturday with an hour gone as they cancelled out Simon Cooper’s 13th-minute opener.
