The American media are starting to get hyped already for the visit of Celtic and Chelsea in July. The box office pre-season friendly between the Hoops and the English Premier League giants was officially announced on Monday night and it's the first of three big summer showdowns teased by Celtic over the last few days.

More are to be announced but we now know they will be at the Notre Dame Stadium in Indiana, usually home of the Notre Dame Fighting Irish college American Football team, to take on Chelsea.

Brendan Rodgers is looking forward to taking on an old adversary in Mauricio Pochettino and the hype is starting to build Stateside too.

The stadium in Notre Dame first hosted an international club match in 2019 when Liverpool took on Dortmund and the visit of Celtic and Chelsea is getting the big build-up.
