Carlo Ancelotti confirms Real Madrid injury boost and Erling Haaland plan for Man City fixture

Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti has confirmed Luka Modric will play against Manchester City in Tuesday’s Champions League semi-final first leg at the Bernabeu.

The Croat has missed the last three games with a thigh injury suffered at the end of April. Los Blancos won the Copa del Rey without him in Sunday’s 2-1 win over Osasuna.

His inclusion against City was in doubt but Ancelotti has confirmed he will take part in the first-leg encounter. “He’s fine.

He’ll play tomorrow,” he said of the playmaker in his press conference on Monday.
