Leeds United swatted Cardiff City aside with a dominant display and a 3-0 victory in the Welsh capital. Two first-half goals, the first from Patrick Bamford and the second from Welshman Daniel James, and a late strike from Georginio Rutter were enough to see off the Bluebirds.
Crysencio Summerville missed a penalty late in the second half, too, so it could have been much worse than that. It's been a difficult period for Erol Bulut's side over the last few months and this performance was lacklustre and disappointing, neither taking the attack to the opposition nor getting in their faces defensively.
It was passive and not at all what City supporters would have wanted to see. The visitors played through the Bluebirds with consummate ease and the game plan simply was not working for Bulut. That could not be said for Daniel Farke and his team, who executed exactly what they set out to do.
