He’s used to fighting against him in the heat of an Old Firm battle but Callum McGregor will be delighted if he has Rangers rival Ryan Jack beside him at Hampden when he earns his 50th Scotland cap.

The Hoops star will take his place in the SFA’s Roll of Honour if he’s picked to face Cyprus in the Euro 2024 qualifier on Saturday.

McGregor is proud of the achievement and it could be part of a glorious campaign if he lifts a domestic Treble for Ange Postecoglou's side.

The 29-year-old was a key player for Steve Clarke when the Scots qualified for Euro 2020 and he’s hungry for more international success.
