BREAKING: Woman rushed to hospital after being ploughed into by stolen car

A woman is in hospital after she was hit by a stolen car. After the pedestrian was hurt, the driver of the car is alleged to have tried to flee the scene and assaulted a police officer.

The incident happened on Manchester Road West in Little Hulton, Salford, on Friday afternoon. The emergency services, and an air ambulance, were scrambled to the scene shortly before 12.35pm.

A female pedestrian who was hit by a stolen car was taken by road ambulance to Royal Bolton Hospital where she was being treated tonight.
