Residents have been advised to stay indoors due an 'ongoing police incident' in Salford. Leicester Road in Broughton is currently cordoned off, with drivers being urged to avoid the area.

Video from the scene shows the street taped off outside a row of shops. Dozens of onlookers have gathered at the cordon. One witness reported that 'gunshots' had been fired, although that is yet to be confirmed.
