A weather warning has been issued for Greater Manchester today, which will stay in place until Sunday (December 30). The yellow weather warning has been issued by the Met Office for snow and ice.
It covers much of the north of England and Midlands. In our area, the warning zone includes the M60, but some Greater Manchester boroughs fall outside of its remit.
They are Wigan, Bolton, and Bury. It is in place from 6pm on Saturday (December 2) to 12noon on Sunday. It means ‘some roads and railways are likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services’, the forecasters say.
