Emergency services have cordoned off a residential street in Stretford amid an ongoing police incident this evening (August 10).

Officers from Greater Manchester Police are at the scene on Coniston Road and Thirlmere Avenue, near the Trafford Park train station with a large cordon in place.

A number of police vehicles, including a TAU van, have been pictured at the scene with one resident telling the M.E.N that 'armed police' were also present.
