Delhi Capitals are set to play their first home match in Indian Premier League 2023 against Gujarat Titans at Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi on Tuesday.

Delhi Capitals' regular skipper Rishabh Pant will support his team playing their first home match from the stands as he is not playing this season due to injuries he sustained in the car accident that he met with last year.

Ahead of their clash against defending champions Gujarat Titans, the Delhi Capitals squad sent a special heartfelt message to Pant in a video posted by the IPL Twitter handle.

While Pant is recovering from his sustained injury, his teammates made a small video to wish him a speedy recovery and join the field fast.

The David Warner are currently at the bottom of the points table with only one win out of six games. Inconsistent batting performance made the team struggle during the low run-chase of 128 against KKR. As opener Prithvi Shaw has failed to deliver a strong performance in the season, there are chances that the team might call back Sarfaraz Khan into the Playing XI.
With one win in six outings, Delhi Capitals (DC) have had a torrid start to their Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 campaign. The biggest concern for DC has been the form of opening batter Prithvi Shaw, who has failed to get starts so far. In six matches, Shaw has conjured just 43 runs, which is highly below-par for a player of his calibre. Speaking on his struggles, former England captain Michael Vaughan feels that Shaw needs to score runs as he can't just play on reputation.
The Delhi Capitals sit bottom of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 standings having lost all 5 matches of their campaign so far. One of the biggest problems for the team has been poor performance of the top order, including young opening batter Prithvi Shaw. Delhi Capitals (DC) occupy the bottom spot in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2023 points after failing to register a win in their first four games of the season so far. Nothing is going right for the David Warner-led side and the team's think-tank is struggling to stem the rot that has set in. In the picture, Pant could be seen having a chat with Axar Patel at the sidelines. Pant was ruled out of the tournament due to injures he suffered in a car accident and the wicket-keeper batsman was replaced by David Warner as the skipper of the franchise. Ahead of the tournament, head coach Ricky Ponting made it clear that Pant will still be a big part of the side and the team even had his jersey on top of the dugout as a show of respect.
With three wins on trot, Delhi Capitals are defintely off to a really poor start in IPL 2023. They will aim their first win of the season when they face Mumbai Indians at the Arun Jaitlley Stadium on Tuesday. Like MI, DC will also be expecting an improved show from their local talent. Delhi's top-order was 'Boulted' in the last game, raising questions about Prithvi Shaw's ability against fast bowling. He has been dismissed in different fashion -- pace, bounce and swing, in his three innings and there doesn't seem to be a quick fix to his technical issues.
