As the world’s fashion royalty descends on the Northern Quarter for Chanel’s Metiers D’Art show tonight (December 7), a new ‘collection’ has been unveiled for a much more worthy cause.
Manchester’s oldest homelessness charity, Lifeshare, has launched a campaign calling for public support to tackle the huge issue of clothing poverty.
It’s asking for donations to help the 7,400 homeless people living across Manchester — with demand for clothing sky-rocketing by 158 percent in the last 12 months.
The campaign, called ‘The A/W23 Collection by Lifeshare’, has been established at the charity’s offices, which are only a five-minute walk from the Thomas Street runway which has been constructed over the last few weeks.
