Manchester City are braced for interest from Arsenal in England midfielder Kalvin Phillips, according to reports. Phillips, 27, signed for the Premier League champions from Leeds United last summer.

However, the midfielder has struggled to secure regular game time since that £45million switch. Speculation over his future remains high, with reports from The Sun indicating Arsenal could attempt to swoop for his signature.

City allowed Oleksandr Zinchenko and Gabriel Jesus to move directly between the two clubs last summer and the Gunners went on to challenge for the Premier League title. The report cites that a mid-season move could be possible - at least if rivals Arsenal get their way. Elsewhere, reports in Argentina have suggested that City have formulated a plan to sign Boca Juniors’ Valentin Barco.
