Ange Postecoglou returned to Scotland with Spurs - and immediately distanced himself from the England job. The former Celtic manager has been linked with the Three Lions position after Gareth Southgate’s resignation following the Euro 2024 final defeat to Spain.
But Postecoglou, whose side ran out 5-1 winners over Hearts in a Tynecastle friendly, insists he is focused only on his job with Spurs.
Asked if he’d seen the speculation Postecoglou said: “Mate, I was having a nap this afternoon, so I’ve got no idea! I’m Tottenham manager and I’m determined to bring success to this club, as I have with every other club I have been at.
That’s where my focus is totally. We haven’t achieved anything yet, so until we achieve something, my work isn’t done. Five years ago I was in Japan, and now I’m in the Premier League.
