Andre Onana says he takes responsibility for every goal Manchester United concede, underlining he is happy to take on the pressure of being No.1.

The goalkeeper was lobbed from the centre-circle by Lens striker Florian Sotoca 35 minutes into his Old Trafford debut in Saturday’s 3-1 friendly win over the French side.

Throughout his three appearances so far, Onana has been seen high up the pitch when United are in possession. But Diogo Dalot’s misplaced pass allowed Lens to gather the ball and take advantage of the shot-stopper’s aggressive positioning.

Speaking after the match, Onana said he was happy to make his debut but is willing to take the blame for Lens’ goal. He told MUTV: “I’m happy for the win.
