Northampton are among a number of clubs who are keen on taking Alex Lowry on loan and Rangers are looking at potential options for their talented young playmaker.
The newly-promoted English League One outfit are interested in taking the 20-year-old south. Michael Beale has signed a number of players in the midfield area this summer and feels Lowry could benefit from going out to get first-team football to aid his development.
That has alerted Northampton boss Jon Brady who is keen to do a deal for Lowry. Northampton had fellow Scotland under-21 cap Marc Leonard who enjoyeda successful loan from Brighton last season as they climbed out of League Two.
Lowry has been training regularly with the Rangers first-team and signed a long-term contract earlier this year. He was hampered by by injury last season after he was stretchered off after a horror challenge in Challenge Cup clash with Dumbarton.
