In Sun CityFormer Springbok winger and Bulls legend Akona Ndungane was delighted that the Springboks could bounce back with an emphatic win against Italy on Saturday. The Springboks were on song as they scored nine-tries to down Italy 63-21 at Stadio Luigi Ferraris.READ | Springboks overcome horror week, run riot in Genoa to land thumping Italy winNdungane, alongside his brother Odwa, were watching the Springbok victory at the Gary and Vivienne Player Invitational at the Lost City Golf Course clubhouse. The Springboks did not disappoint as several legends, including Victor Matfield and Pat Lambie, watched them outclass a resurgent Italian side in Genoa.Ndungane says the win will do wonders for the team's confidence as the Springboks look to defend their World Cup title in France next year."I don't think anyone can panic.

We played against the top team teams in the world, Ireland and France and we lost by 3-4 points and those games could have gone either way," Ndungane said on Saturday at the Gary and Vivienne Player Invitational in Sun City."So I think there's a lot of improvement from the Springboks that they can still achieve.

The way that we played against those teams, we showed that there's a lot that we can actually prevent them from scoring tries.

We know Ireland likes to keep ball in hand, but we were able to nullify that and even with France we had more ball carries. "So we just beat Italy with 60 points, which is good for the confidence of the players and I think for them it was all about finishing the tour strong.
