Ademola Lookman set for 30th Atalanta appearance

(Photo: AFP)Ademola Lookman is set for his 30th overall match in the colours of Atalanta BC which play host to Bologna in a Serie A fixture scheduled for the Gewiss Stadium on Saturday.Lookman has scored 13 goals in 27 Serie A matches in the 2022/23 season alongside five assists while netting 15 times in 29 appearances across all competitions for Atalanta.He, however, finally put an end to his goal drought spanning eight games after hitting the back of the net to help Atalanta defeat Cremonese 3-1 in the Italian Serie A.The Super Eagles attacker who previously last had a goal-scoring celebration in January ended his barren run as he netted against Cremonese at the Stadio Giovanni Zini last weekend.Lookman replaced Luis Muriel on 46 minutes and scored Atalanta’s third goal in the third minute of added time with an assist from Ederson as the attacker heaved a huge sigh of relief.He got on the end of a pass from Ederson and sent a precise finish into an empty net.
