Aaron Hill roars into last 16 at Northern Ireland Open

Aaron Hill is into the last 16 of the Northern Ireland Open for the first time after a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Dylan Emery at the Waterfront Hall this afternoon.Hill achieved his best ever result at the Wuhan Open earlier this month, where he reached the quarter finals, and he has brought some of that form to Belfast to set up a meeting with either Matt Selt or Jack Lisowski.Last season the Cork man shocked Judd Trump in his opening match but couldn't follow up the result, but the world number 67 is in the form of his professional career at the moment.Like his victory over Fan Zhengyi in the last round, Hill won the two crucial scrappy frames - the first and the third - and was able to knock in breaks of 94 and 69 in the others to see out the whitewash result.Antrim man Jordan Brown is in action later at the Waterfront Hall as he'll look to follow Hill into the last 16 when he takes on Yuan Sijun, while Mark Allen's conqueror Andres Petrov faces China's Xing Zihao.
