Clare final and Galway semi-finals fall to weather

The impact of Storm Ashley on the GAA calendar continues to be felt as Sunday's Clare senior hurling final and the Galway senior hurling semi-finals have all been postponed.

The announcement of the postponement comes after Mayo GAA last night confirmed that Sunday's SFC final between Knockmore and Ballina had been postponed.

The Clare final is provisionally rescheduled to Monday 28 October at 2:30PM in Cusack Park.

The Galway semi-finals will be refixed for Saturday 26 October in Kenny Park Athenry with times to be confirmed.

The arrival of Storm Ashley has led to a status orange wind warning has been issued for Mayo, Galway, Donegal and Clare.

The Orange warning for the four counties will be in effect from 12pm until 9pm tomorrow.

The whole of Ireland will be under a Status Yellow wind warning from midnight tonight until 3am on Monday.

A separate Status Yellow rain warning has been issued for seven counties. The warning for Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Wicklow, Cork, Kerry and Waterford will come into effect 12am until 9am tomorrow.
