Man City 'line up offer' for teenage sensation and more transfer rumours

Manchester City are reportedly 'lining up a move' for Irish teenager Sam Curtis, who has been on trial at a handful of top European sides.

According to Football Insider, City are 'racing' to get a deal in place for Curtis, who has the ability to play at right-back or centre-back. The 16-year-old has had trials with Roma, Bayer Leverkusen and Feyenoord, and now Pep Guardiola's side are looking at the possibility of tempting him to the Etihad Stadium.

English clubs are not allowed to formally sign Curtis until he turns 18, but City will want to have a deal in place and ready to go to avoid being pipped to the post by their rivals. The St Patrick’s Athletic defender has become a sought-after talent in Europe after a series of impressive performances in the League of Ireland.

Curtis' ability to play in more than one position will be a huge appeal for City, as Guardiola's side weigh up a possible move for the youngster.

Elsewhere, Milan News (via Sport Witness ) report that Atalanta defender Giorgio Scalvini has poured cold water over a potential move to City.

The 18-year-old has been heavily linked with a move to the Blues, after reports emerged that City were among a handful of clubs competing for the defender's signature. The centre-back has now distanced himself from any potential deal, after he admitted that he is only thinking about his time with Atalanta.

However, Scalvini's contract expires at the end of this season, meaning that the Italian club could be forced into accepting a cut-price deal in January over fears they could lose the teenager for nothing. The central defender has featured in all nine Serie A matches for his side so far this season,
