Zwane wants 'hunger and desire' from Khune as he 'came to the party' in Stellenbosch

Kaizer Chiefs head coach Arthur Zwane says he wants Itumeleng Khune to show more "hunger and desire" after the veteran goalkeeper returned to the starting XI, earning heroic plaudits for his performance against Stellenbosch in the MTN8 quarter-final on Sunday.

The Danie Craven Stadium was sold-out, with fans squeezing into the arena to witness how the action unfolded. They chanted, "Khune! Khune! Khune!" as it echoed around the venue when the match went to extra-time after both teams failed to break the 1-1 scoreline.

The 35-year-old shot-stopper had not started in goal all season for Amakhosi as Zwane prefers Brandon Petersen and Bruce Bvuma ahead of the fan-favourite gloveman.

"He led the team very well at the back, even though, like I said, we could've done better in some instances.

"I think if my memory serves me well, he kept us in the game; he
