Zeb Jacobs 'agrees' Rangers to Feyenoord switch as Dutch giants beat Man City to youth chief

Zeb Jacobs has reportedly agreed to join Feyenoord as their new head of academy.

The Belgian has been in a similar role at Rangers for less than year after earning a promotion at the Ibrox club under Michael Beale last summer, having previously worked for the Light Blues as head of academy coaching during Beale's first spell as part of Steven Gerrard's coaching staff. He was brought back in a more senior role, but 1908.nl report that Jacobs has agreed to join Feyenoord.

The Dutch giants look set to lose head coach Arne Slot. He has emerged as Liverpool's first choice to replace the departing Jurgen Klopp this summer, with talks already underway with the KNVB Cup winners. But Jacobs will make the move to Rotterdam after working his notice period, having impressed Feyenoord chiefs during the interview process.

Man City had tried to tempt Jacobs to the Etihad. But Feyenoord's plan proved to be the winner as far as the 28-year-old is concerned. And he's swerved a move to the English Premier League in order to play his trade on the continent with the Eredivise runners up.
