Zara McDermott pleads for fans' help over 'vicious cycle' that leaves her 'panicked'

Zara McDermott has pleaded with her fans for help over what she has described as a 'vicious cycle' when it comes to her getting a good night's sleep.

Earlier this month, the documentary maker opened up about feeling 'overloaded' and 'anxious'. Writing in a lengthy caption alongside a photo of her in her gym gear at a pilates class, Zara wrote: "Well done me for not snoozing my alarm this morning and getting up for my early reformer session.

"I think I just need to accept the fact that I'm not a super early morning riser and stop trying to force myself to be one of those people. I'm always seeing people on Insta out and about at 5/6am and it makes me feel so cr*p about myself." She continued: "Honestly though, I don't know how people go to sleep early?

"My brain doesn't switch off before midnight. I'm definitely feeling overloaded at the mo with work... Filming documentaries, managing a business that has two huge launches coming up and all the other things I have to do. It's a lot."

The 27-year-old has now opened up again about the impact her sleepless nights are having, which she says are leaving her 'so stressed' and 'frustrated'.

The former Love Island star to Instagram on Wednesday (October 23) to explain her difficulty, saying: "I'm going to spend the evening attempting to relax because I've got a MENTAL week coming up and I've not been sleeping properly recently.
