Youri Tielemans transfer saga explained as Leicester City midfielder subject of interest

Here’s the latest Leicester City news on Saturday, July 2, 2022.

Two European clubs are interested in signing Leicester City midfielder Boubakary Soumaré, according to a report in France.

Soumaré only joined Leicester from Lille last summer but could be set to leave the King Power Stadium soon after struggling to settle into the English game. He came into the club off the back of picking up a Ligue 1 winners' medal but struggled to transfer his attributes to the Premier League.

Now French giants AS Monaco are "attentively watching" Soumaré, according to Media Foot, with the midfielder "ticking all the boxes" for their manager, Philippe Clément. Also said to be interested in Soumaré are Atalanta, where former City recruitment chief Lee Congerton is now their sporting director.
