Arsenal will need to qualify for next season's UEFA Champions League if they wish to sign Youri Tielemans, according to recent reports.

The north London outfit spent more than any other Premier League side last summer, splashing over £140million on six different players and technical director Edu is set for another busy window. understands that the Brazilian transfer chief is keen to bring in a central midfielder, with the likes of Ruben Neves of Wolves and Napoli star Fabian Ruiz both heavily linked in recent times.

Another name that has been mooted as a potential target is Leicester City playmaker Youri Tielemans and the Evening Standard have now reported that while Tielemans is keen on a move to the Emirates Stadium, his primary reason for leaving Brendan Rodgers' side is his desire to play in the Champions League. The report also states that he could look elsewhere if the Gunners are unable to secure a top-four finish this term.
