Yashasvi Jaiswal, Shubman Gill Both Snubbed, Surprise Pacer Picked For T20 Squad By World Cup-Winner

The Indian cricket team squad for the 2024 T20 World Cup is going to be announced soon. It is expected that Rohit will meet Agarkar on Sunday and then in the next couple of days the team will be announced any time. Several experts have been picking their version of the ideal 2024 T20 World Cup squad. 1983 World Cup winner Krishnamachari Srikkanth also picked his squad.

Interestingly, neither Shubman Gill nor Yashasvi Jaiswal features in his squad. His playing XI has Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma as the openers followed by Suryakumar Yadav at No. 3. Shivam Dube, KL Rahul and Hardik Pandya follow. Then the spin bowling consists Kuldeep Yadav and Ravindra Jadeja. They are followed by pacers Avesh Khan, Arshdeep Singh and Jasprit Bumrah. Rinku Singh, Axar Patel and T Nataraj have been lept as reserves. The most interesting part is that Sanju Samson and Rishabh Pant are fighting it out for the second wicketkeeper's spot.
