Yale student athlete comes forward to allege 'toxic culture' under athletic director Victoria Chun

Kim Jones, the mother of three former swimmers at Yale, spoke out against the school's handling of trans athletes on both the men's and women's team in an interview with Fox News Digital.

EXCLUSIVE: A Yale women's track and field athlete said she recently quit the team because of a "toxic culture and incompetent coaching staff," as dissent within the university's athletic department has leaked over the last week. 

The athlete, who asked to remain anonymous, sent an unsolicited email with these claims to Fox News Digital from an official Yale student email account, and Fox News Digital verified that she had previously competed on the university's women's track and field team.

"I recently quit due to a toxic culture and incompetent coaching staff who were only recently hired by Vicky Chun during a forced turnover in leadership of the team," part of the email read.

The athlete later gave Fox News Digital permission to publish the email. 

She is the latest figure connected to Yale Athletics to come forward with alleged details of a negative experience under athletic director Victoria Chun's leadership.
