WWE views surprise SmackDown star as ‘number two babyface’

WWE views Ricochet as the number two babyface on Friday Night SmackDown at the moment, a new report has claimed.

Ricochet hasn’t always been pushed to the full extent of his abilities on the main roster since his move from NXT in early 2019.

Many people believe that the former United States Champion is one of the best wrestlers on the planet, and should be used more than he is.

That could all be about to change though, as reports have claimed that the 33-year-old is now viewed as one of WWE’s top babyface.

PWInsider is reporting that Ricochet is viewed as the second-top babyface on SmackDown at the moment behind Drew McIntyre.

The report explains that Ricochet is one of WWE’s top ‘good guys’ at the moment, which is why he’s been picking up wins on SmackDown as of late,

On this week’s SmackDown, Ricochet is set to challenge Sami Zayn for the Intercontinental Championship.

While reports state that Ricochet is set for a big push on SmackDown, he’s not expected to to win the title on the show this week.

Zayn is rumoured to be defending his title against Jackass’ Johnny Knoxville at WrestleMania, so Ricochet winning the belts would throw a spanner into the works for those plans.

As of right now, it’s unclear whether or not Ricochet is going to be positioned on the card for WrestleMania, but it doesn’t seem out of the question.
