Tyson Fury vs Mike Tyson: Gypsy King answers who wins in their prime

Tyson Fury believes a prime version of Mike Tyson would’ve knocked him out in 30 seconds, as a video in the build-up to his fight with Deontay Wilder has resurfaced.

As a big money heavyweight dream clash with fellow Brit Anthony Joshua is in the works, we thought that taking a look back at this clip was an appropriate time to discuss it.

The rivalry between AJ and Fury has been relatively heated over the years, with the two talking all kinds of trash about each other while never having faced off in the ring.

The two were supposed to finally meet in a bout in August of last year, but an arbitration judge determined that Fury had to fight Wilder for a third and final time.

The Gypsy King would offer Joshua the chance to meet in a “Battle of Britain” earlier this month for the WBC heavyweight gold after the latter’s unanimous decision loss in the rematch to Oleksandr Usyk last month.

This came about after Usyk, who Fury had his eye on for a big matchup in its own right, said he would not be fighting again this year.

Usyk made it clear that he had no intentions of fighting again in 2022 and wanted to wait until 2023 for the unification bout.

This led to 36-year-old Morecambe resident naming his price for that potential bout to international promoters, that figure being £500m. With that figure quite obviously not being paid, Fury targeted Joshua and now Usyk himself is said to be targeting Wilder next.
