WWE star set to return to TV on SmackDown

This week’s Friday Night SmackDown could get ‘nasty’ with the news of Superstar making her return to WWE TV. 

Fans were left disappointed on Raw this week when the returns of names like Asuka and Bayley from injury failed to materialize. However, there’s reports that we could see the return of another familiar face on SmackDown this week, the lady of WWE Lacey Evans. 

According to PWInsider Evans is scheduled to be at tomorrow night’s Friday Night SmackDown taping in Milwaukee, where she is set to make his first appearance on TV for over a year.

Lacey last wrestled for the company during a February 2021 episode of Raw, where she teamed with Peyton Royce in a match against Charlotte Flair and Asuka, as part of ongoing programme with The Queen of WWE. 

Before her departure, Evans had been involved in an angle on TV where she aligned herself with Ric Flair and the WWE Hall of Famer turned on his daughter in favour of Lacey and their new ‘relationship’. Evans real-life pregnancy was then incorporated into the story, with the implication that Flair was the father of her new baby. 

However, the angle was abruptly dropped following the 32-year-old’s decision to take an earlier leave from WWE to prepare for her arrival, and her scheduled Raw Women’s Title match at Elimination Chamber against Asuka cancelled. With reports suggesting at the time that WWE were planning on giving her a title run. 

Evans gave birth to her second daughter in October last year, sharing images on Instagram of her home birth, but within weeks was uploading pictures of her getting back in shape ahead of her WWE comeback in 2022. 

With Charlotte Flair now on the blue brand and currently holding the SmackDown Women’s Championship following her win over
