WWE's ruthless new rule following Vince McMahon's retirement

WWE has a ruthless new role as the company continues to evolve following Vince McMahon’s retirement it has now been claimed.

WWE has undergone some major structural changes over the last few months, mainly down to Vince McMahon’s sudden exit in July.

With Vince now out of the picture, Nick Khan, Stephanie McMahon and Triple H have taken over his responsibilities, and the trio now want to run WWE their own way.

One of the things that is said to be changing within WWE is the company’s attitude towards its developmental talent at the Performance Center.

In an interview with Blecher Report, WWE’s Senior Vice President of Talent Operations and Strategy, James Kimball, has revealed the company’s new stance on its PC talent.

Kimball explained that talent training at the facility will be reviewed every six months, with a new rule of talent having to either have been positioned on TV regularly within two years, or been let go, via WrestleTalk.

Two-year mark, you’re up or out. Obviously, there is a constant evaluation at the Performance Center. Coaching staff, our staff, on-site, all the time, constantly evaluating, but formal, deliberate evaluations occur in six-month periods. At that two-year mark, if you’ve not made it on NXT TV on a regular basis, this is not for you and it’s not for us.”

Wrestling is incredibly difficult, and WWE higher-ups clearly feel that it takes two years for them to figure out whether or not a talent is really cut out to make it in the industry.

WWE changed up its tactic with NXT over the last year or so, focusing more on shaping collegiate athletes into wrestlers, rather than bringing in established names from the independent scene.
