Wrexham boss outlines how Dragons are preparing for Manchester United friendly in USA

Wrexham boss Phil Parkinson knows the club's pre-season schedule is about to go up a notch or two when the Dragons head over to the USA and take on Manchester United.

The North Wales side are back in the EFL this season after winning promotion to League Two at long last after several seasons of attempting to do just that but falling short. The club is now owned by Hollywood stars Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney.

The finances have been pumped into the Racecourse Ground's squad and it has paid dividends with the club no longer in non-league. The Dragons won the National League title with a record 111 points.

United will take on Wrexham at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atalanta, Georgia, on Tuesday, July 25. It will be part of both clubs' pre-season preparations ahead of United's Premier League and Wrexham's League Two campaigns.

Wrexham have a couple of behind-closed-doors matches and an in-house game in the UK before jetting off to the States to take on United, Chelsea, LA Galaxy II and Philadelphia Union. Parkinson knows that in the coming weeks, the club's pre-season will be going up with the profile of games and welcomes the expected attendance and experiences they will be going through in due course.
