Manchester United will be hoping to build on Saturday's 2-0 win over Arsenal when they face Real Madrid in their latest pre-season friendly at the NRG Stadium in Houston on Wednesday evening (Thursday morning in the UK) and the squad for the encounter has been revealed.

Summer signing Andre Onana, who completed his move to Old Trafford from Inter Milan last week, could be handed his debut. He played no part in the win over Arsenal after only arriving in the US the day before.

All eyes, too, will be on Anthony Martial to see if he makes the matchday squad for the first time this summer. The Frenchman has not played since the final day of 2022/23 Premier League season after suffering a hamstring injury.

He has returned to team training in the build-up to the clash with Madrid and could be involved. It also remains to be seen if Amad will make the cut after being forced off against Arsenal and leaving the MetLife Stadium on crutches.

Manchester United are unhappy with Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson’s comments about goalkeeper Nathan Bishop.

Bishop punctured Wrexham striker Paul Mullin’s lung in a rumbustious challenge in the 12th minute but was only booked. Mullin required oxygen before he was substituted and Parkinson said Bishop should “steer clear” of Wrexham after the incident.
