Western Province v Boland - SCORECARD

It was a happy return in the colours of Western Province for Richard Levi as he scored a quick-fire 50 to help his side to  a six-wicket win over the Boland Rocks in the opening clash of the Cricket South Africa T20 Challenge.

Levi blasted 69 off just 39 balls, clubbing nine 4s and three 6s in an innings that paved the way for Province to chase down the 143 set for victory over Boland.

After winning the toss and electing to bat, Boland were soon in trouble, losing four wickets for just 47 runs as Beuran Hendricks (2/28) and George Linde (2/13) bowled impressively for Province.

Christiaan Jonker (46) and Ferisco Adams (34) helped Boland set a reasonable total, but despite some early wickets for Pieter Malan's charges, they never quite had enough on the board following the Levi onslaught.

Levi received support from another veteran, Dane Vilas (21), while Linde (20*) and Aviwe Mgijima (26*) saw Province home three overs to spare.

Hardus Viljoen was the pick of the Boland bowlers with 3/16.
