CSA T20 Challenge reaches business end: Who have been the best performers?

The CSA T20 Challenge is at the business end of its season at St.George's Park in Gqeberha with the semi-finals scheduled from Friday.

With the T20 World Cup set for October in Australia, the T20 Challenge was the perfect opportunity for several players to put up their hand ahead of the global showpiece.

Top of the table leaders, the Titans will take on the Dolphins in the first semi-final on Friday (10:00) with a Western Cape-derby set for 14:30 as WP battle Boland Rocks later in the day.

The final is set for Sunday at 13:00 with 1 500 vaccinated fans allowed to witness the action live.

There has been nothing short of entertainment this season so far and with the group stages down and dusted, Sport24 looks at the top performers thus far:

Most runs

293 runs in 7 matches - Tristan Stubbs (Warriors)

Stubbs made his debut for the Warriors at last year's T20 Knockout Cup and has come into his own as a professional cricketer.

The 21-year-old currently tops the run charts with 293 runs from his seven games, recording three half-centuries with a high score of 80 not out from 35 balls against the Dolphins.

Stubbs, who attended Grey High School in Gqeberha, smashed 23 sixes in the tournament - 12 sixes more than Proteas hard-hitting batter David Miller - as the Warriors middle-order batter has a strike rate of 183.12.

The Warriors did not advance through to the semi-finals, but Stubbs' performance definitely raised some eyebrows.

240 runs in 7 matches with three half-centuries - Pieter Malan (Rocks)

231 runs in 7 matches with two half-centuries - Wihan Lubbe (Warriors)

226 runs in 7 matches with two half-centuries - Heinrich Klaasen (Titans)

208 runs in 7 matches with one half-century - Jacques Snyman (Knights)

Most wickets

11 wickets in 6
