Picking up 28 points from their last 12 games, Bolton Wanderers have transformed their season from one where a relegation scrap was becoming apparent to one where they are knocking on the door of the League One play-offs.

Ian Evatt’s side, who won promotion to the third-tier last season with an excellent second half of the campaign, will be hoping for a similar kind of situation this time around.

The Trotters have been particularly dominant on home soil in recent months, winning their last six at The University of Bolton Stadium, and with six out of their last 10 games coming at home, they will be confident that they can continue to inflict pressure on the current occupiers of a top-six spot.

They made some decent additions in January including the likes of Jon Dadi Bodvarsson and Marlon Fossey, so wouldn’t be a huge shock to see them build momentum and force their way into the promotion mix between now and the end of the season.

Ian Evatt’s men enjoyed a very strong run in the latter stages of last season and if they can put a similar set of results together, albeit in a harder league, they will have a great chance of unsettling the current play-off favourites.
