'Would make me very happy' - Many Leeds fans buzz as club share news on 'baller'

Leeds United fans were buzzing with the news that Jack Harrison has been nominated for the Premier League’s Player of the Month award for January.

Harrison’s performances have been impressive of late, and they have been rewarded as he was named as one of six nominees for the accolade.

The wideman scored his first-ever professional hat-trick for Marcelo Bielsa’s side as they battled past high-flying West Ham United 3-2 earlier in the month. He was also on the scoresheet in the 3-1 win over fellow strugglers Burnley.

Overall, he helped his side to two wins from three this month, scoring a total of four goals. The nomination saw Leeds fans take to Twitter to convey their jubilation for the former Manchester City man.

“Would make me very happy to see him win this.”

If he is to win, he’s up against some big names. The likes of Kevin De Bruyne, David de Gea, Jarrod Bowen, Joao Moutinho and James Ward-Prowse are also vying for the award.

This past month, De Bruyne has a goal and assist, while Bowen has three goals to his name. Moutinho has two goals and an assist, with Ward-Prowse scoring and assisting one in January. Elsewhere, De Gea made 22 saves this month, keeping just the one clean sheet in his four games.

Clearly, it’ll be a tough fight for the coveted award, but it would be a great reward for Harrison’s work at Leeds.
