Another Leeds player could be back from injury soon as 'immense' ace drops teasing update

Leeds United forward Sam Greenwood has teased a return to injury on social media, LeedsLive report.

Greenwood, labelled as a player with ‘immense’ ability by Noel Whelan, has been out of action for five weeks with a knee problem.

The centre-forward made his Premier League debut back in December and earned a first senior start for the Whites in an FA Cup defeat to West Ham.

The 20-year-old only lasted 45 minutes against the Hammers before making way with a knee problem and has since undergone surgery to repair the issue.

As reported by LeedsLive’s Joe Donnohue, Greenwood has teased a return from injury on Instagram.

He has posted images of himself wearing football boots for a second time, indicating he is back out on the grass following his knee problem.

Junior Firpo could be brought back into the side against Manchester United this weekend, and this update from Greenwood is a welcome one.

Kalvin Phillips and Liam Cooper are also on track to make returns from injury over the coming weeks, and all four may well be needed soon after Stuart Dallas and Leo Hjelde hobbled off against Everton at the weekend.

A return timescale for Patrick Bamford is also unknown, so having Greenwood back fit will give Marcelo Bielsa another option with his main talisman starting just five games all season.
