West Bromwich Albion are keen on Luton Town right-back James Bree, according to a report from the Express&Star.
Darnell Furlong is currently Albion’s only right-sided defender and Steve Bruce is understood to want to add more options – with Bree on the Championship club’s radar.
But would he be a good signing for the Baggies? And do they need him?

Declan Harte
This would be a welcome addition to Steve Bruce’s side, with the full-back having performed exceptionally for Luton this season.
Bree earned six assists for the side from the right flank and was an integral part of the side that secured a play-off place.
Given Bruce opted for a back-five formation at times last season, Bree would also fit nicely in a more advanced role.
The 24-year-old would likely be an upgrade on Darnell Furlong, and he would certainly create healthy competition for minutes in the starting lineup that the Baggies boss desires.

James Bree comes as somewhat of a surprise target for West Brom but that doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be a good signing for the club.
He was excellent for the Hatters over the course of the last campaign during their run to the play-offs and was a mainstay for the side on the flank. Considering how proven he already is in the Championship then, he could be a really solid addition for the Baggies as they look to climb the division too.
