‘Worrying’, ‘Bizarre’ – These West Brom fans react to significant player update

West Brom fell to defeat against Preston last night, with Sam Johnstone surprisingly not involved for Albion.

Big team news from The Hawthorns is that Sam Johnstone is not involved despite being available again after suspension.

The England international has been the Baggies number one this season after a summer move didn’t materialise, but, after serving a three-game suspension, he was not involved against North End.

That came as a shock to all connected to the fans, with reports revealing the decision was made following a fallout with Valerien Ismael – something the boss seemed to confirm after game.

With Johnstone’s contract expiring in the summer, there’s the strong possibility that the stopper has played his last game for the club, with a January departure also an option you would expect.

As you would expect, this prompted plenty of responses from the Albion fans, with many not happy that the situation that saw the number one left out last night. Although, some weren’t too bothered at the prospect of Johnstone moving on considering his contract.
