World Snooker Championship 2022 schedule today, latest scores and semi-final results

The World Snooker Championship 2022 continues on Thursday after the action kicked off on Saturday April 16 at the iconic Crucible Theatre in Sheffield with Leicester's top seed and defending champion Mark Selby seeking a fifth title. But Selby is out after losing to Yan Bingtao on Sunday night.

Selby lost the longest frame in Crucible history - an epic lasting 85 minutes and 22 seconds - to bow out 13-10 to China's Yan at the second round stage. “I’m proud of myself,” he said afterwards. “After really struggling and not enjoying the game, I came into this tournament not really knowing what to expect. I felt as though I was the better player for much of the match. It felt like my game was coming back a bit and I was enjoying it, so it’s positive going forward.”

Ronnie O'Sullivan, Mark Williams, Judd Trump and John Higgins are our semi-finalists. They will battle it out in two best of 33 matches over the course of today and tomorrow for a place in the final which starts on Saturday.
