The World Snooker Championship 2022 final continues on Monday after the action kicked off on Saturday April 16 at the iconic Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. Ronnie O'Sullivan goes into today's play with a strong lead over Mark Selby.

Leicester's top seed and defending champion Mark Selby was knocked out in the first round. Selby lost the longest frame in Crucible history - an epic lasting 85 minutes and 22 seconds - to bow out 13-10 to China's Yan at the second round stage. “I’m proud of myself,” he said afterwards. “After really struggling and not enjoying the game, I came into this tournament not really knowing what to expect. I felt as though I was the better player for much of the match. It felt like my game was coming back a bit and I was enjoying it, so it’s positive going forward.”

O'Sullivan beat John Higgins in the semi-final while Trump overcame a challenge from Mark Williams. O'Sullivan is seeking a record-equalling seventh Crucible crown.
