Wordle: What is today's Wordle answer?

Wordle remains one of the most wildly popular free game releases in recent years and it remains a phenomenon but what is today’s Wordle answer?

The word game is deceptively simple, tasking players with guessing a five-letter word in six attempts.

It’s very easy to pick up and play, perhaps explaining its enduring appeal.

Quite simply, you’ll get hints after you put your first guess in. If you use the word ‘CRANE’, and none of those letters appear in the final solution, they will all remain grey. If you use the word ‘CRANE’, and three of those letters appear in the final word, but in different places, they will turn yellow. If any of the letters are in the correct place, they will turn green.

The beauty of it is also the fact that every English-language player will be attempting to guess the same word, so getting it quickly gives you some genuine bragging rights.

You can play the game on the New York Times website, so all you need to do is head over to the site, and you can start guessing; it remains free at present, although that may change in future.

It should go without saying here that this is a huge spoiler and will give away the answer, so if you don’t want to know, now’s the time to click off the website!

Today’s Wordle is the 311th version of the game, on Tuesday 26th April.

Today’s Wordle answer is HEIST.

This one is a little tricky because it’s unlikely you’re going to get the E and the I next to each other right at the start.

But it’s definitely very gettable, especially if you get the H near the start.

There are very few words it can be once you’ve got the first three letters, so we’d expect you to get this one an keep your streak going!
