Elden Ring: Data miner discovers true height of absolutely giant NPCs

Elden Ring has two absolutely gigantic NPCs, including a truly huge dragon, and a data miner has now discovered their true heights.

Players may well be aware of the dragon, by the name of Greyoll, as well as the Great Jar.

And a data miner by the name of Zullie The Witch has uploaded a new video highlighting the two NPCs and explaining just how big these two behemoths are.

Zullie explains that the Great Jar and Greyoll won’t have taken a huge amount of work developmentally, as neither actually move all that much.

The two NPCs can each be found in Northern Caelid.

Per Eurogamer, the Great Jar sits in a currently inaccessible arena, which may well be a hint at later DLC, while Greoyll is found in Greyoll’s Dragonbarrow.

The NPCs, regardless of how big they are, use the same animations as their smaller counterparts, and Zullie is subsequently able to force them to get up.

As a result, Zullie has calculated that the Great Jar is 34m tall. It is possible to force it to attack you but it cannot be killed, as there are no hit boxes spawned.

Now, that might sound like a big boy, but Greyoll is ridiculously huge in comparison.

It’s 86m tall, or 282 feet. This might be why, in storyline, the dragon is just lying there. Officially, in terms of canon, the dragon has been struck down by Scarlet Rot.

And while it is possible to get Greyoll to stand up, if you do manage to do so, the game could crash, because Elden Ring struggles to render the sheer size of the dragon.

It remains to be seen if Greyoll could play a part in any future DLC for Elden Ring, but it seems unlikely, given the difficulty the game has with simply making the dragon appear when it is at full height.

The Great Jar, though, could well be a key component of future
