Wordle: What is today's Wordle answer?

Wordle remains one of the most popular games released in recent years and a number of players across the world are continuing to log in every day to try to guess the five-letter word, but what is today’s Wordle answer?

The game remains on the New York Times website and is completely free, for now.

The beauty of the game is the simplistic nature of it. You simply log in and guess a five-letter word, then you’re told if any of the letters line up with the final word you’re trying to get.

As an example, if you guess CRANE, and none of those letters appear in the final word, their squares will remain grey. If there is a letter from CRANE that is in the final word but isn’t in the right position, the square will turn yellow. If there is a correct letter in the correct place, the square will turn green.

It’s really that simple, and it adds to the mystique that every single player playing the English language version will be trying to guess the very same word.

Today’s Wordle, on Friday 22nd April, is the 307th version of the game, and players will be attempting to continue their streaks by getting all of those pesky squares to turn green.

Of course, it should go without saying here that there are spoilers below, so if you haven’t done the Wordle today and don’t want to know the answer, you should click off the page.

Today’s Wordle answer is PLANT.

This is one of the easier solutions that you can guess in the game.

The placement of the A is likely to be found quickly by most players, mainly in their first guess.

Were you to follow the NY Times’ advice and guess CRANE to start with, you would have two letters from the off.

As a result, we’d very much expect you to get this one right and keep your streak going.
