Women's World Cup 2023: Day Four round-up as Jamaica hold France despite Shaw red card
Manchester City's Khadija Shaw was sent off late on as her Jamaica side claimed a first point at the FIFA Women's World Cup on a thrilling day four.
Shaw received a yellow card in either half as the Reggae Girlz shutout France to earn a famous draw, but will miss Jamaica's next game against Panama.
New Arsenal recruit Amanda Ilestedt scored late on to secure Sweden three points with a 2-1 win over South Africa.
The talented side, who always seem to be the bridesmaid but never the bride on the international stage, came from a goal behind as Ilestedt headed home in the 90th minute.
The Swedes have reached the semi-finals in each of their past three major tournaments, including their 4-0 loss to the Lionesses at the Euros last year.
Elsewhere, the Netherlands put in a convincing performance against World Cup debutants Portugal in Group E despite a 1-0 scoreline.

Sweden 2 – 1 South Africa: leaving it late
The third-ranked team in the world waited until the final moments to deny South Africa their first-ever World Cup point through a 90th-minute Ilestedt header.
Peter Gerhardsson’s side were 1-0 down in the 48th minute after Hildah Magaia followed up with a goal from a Zećira Mušović parried save.
The Blagult were lucky to find an equaliser when Barcelona’s Fridolina Rolfö was awarded a deflected effort that snuck past Kaylin Swart.
By 90 minutes, Sweden overwhelmed Desiree Ellis’ defensively solid South Africa and stole three points from a last-gasp Kosovare Asllani corner that found the head of Ilestedt.
