Women's Euro 2022: Dates, groups, fixtures, stadiums and tickets

The countdown to the Women's European Championships is edging closer and the anticipation is rising as England host the tournament.

Just a year after the rescheduled Euros was held across Europe with a number of matches, including the showpiece, at Wembley Stadium, spectators and fans alike have the opportunity to see the stars of the Women's game look to bring success to their respective countries. Sixteen nations will be across the country as Manchester, London, Brighton, Southampton, Milton Keynes and Sheffield will host the matches.

Reigning champions Holland are in Group C alongside Sweden, Portugal and Switzerland as they look to retain the trophy and win the competition for the second time in their history. Record holders Germany are in Group B alongside Denmark, Spain and Finland as England, who finished fourth in 2017, have been pitted with Austria - who overcame the Lionesses to take third four years ago - Norway and Northern Ireland.

Sarina Wiegman's side will be led out by Leah Williamson at Old Trafford on July 6 as they face Austria at Old Trafford and they will be hoping for a clean sweep with their sights set on a place at Wembley at the end of the month.

Kick-off for the games will be either 5pm or 8pm. All knockout fixtures will be played at the later time of 8pm.
